Supermarket Belongs to the Community

Supermarket belongs to the community. While Chef has the responsibility to keep it running and be stewards of its functionality, what it does and how it works is driven by the community. The chef/supermarket repository will continue to be where development of the Supermarket application takes place. chef-grafana

Build Status

This cookbook installs and configures Grafana, a dashboard application for
graphite and influxdb.

Requirements

Platforms

  • Debian/Ubuntu
  • Redhat/CentOS

Chef

  • Chef 12.1+

Cookbooks

  • apt
  • yum

Recipes

The default recipe will install the latest stable Grafana from
the official packagecloud repository,
configure grafana.ini, and start the service.

To install the latest unstable release, set:
ruby
node['chef-grafana']['install']['channel'] = 'testing'

To install a specific Grafana version, set:
ruby
node['chef-grafana']['install']['version'] = '4.5.0'

Other recipes:

  • grafana::install - this installs grafana and starts the service, but doesn't perform any configuration of grafana.ini.
  • grafana::configure - this configures grafana.ini.

Configuration

All grafana.ini configuration is provided through attributes. Set
node['chef-grafana']['config']['section']['config'] to set the appropriate
values. For example, if you want to enable anonymous authentication, you can
set node['chef-grafana']['config']['auth.anonymous']['enabled'] to true.
